That is our great passion and our strength. And the reason why we have been at the top of the consulting business for eighty years.

When you work for Berenschot, you develop yourself continuously on the basis of an annual personal development plan. You will have ample room to take initiatives and to achieve your ambitions. We consider staff development essential since our clients deserve the best consultants with the most up-to-date knowledge.

Your assignment

Berenschot is frequently asked to map ecosystems. An ecosystem map provides customers (such as regional/national authorities and organisations) with insights into which stakeholders are connected and their strengths and weaknesses. The goal of your assignment will be to increase our insights into the need for ecosystem mapping and existing methodologies to improve and (re)structure our services for our customers in business and in the public sector.

Within the scope of the assignment you will analyse:

  • Which tools exist or can be used for mapping ecosystems?
  • Which information should be mapped?
  • What is the best way to collect the data?
    • Who should be interviewed?
    • What type of questions can be asked?
  • Which visual methods exist and are preferred?
  • To which context can these methods be applied?

Part of the assignment is to apply the knowledge gained by mapping the worldwide ecosystem of photonics.

Your profile

  • You hold a BSc. degree;
  • You are a proactive person who is not afraid to interview our C-level customers on your own;
  • You preferably hold a background in Engineering, Innovation Management, Strategic Product Design or are highly interested in technology;
  • You are available for 3-6 months;
  • Fluent Dutch speaker.

What can you expect from us?

The internship is full-time and offers you the opportunity to get to know the consultancy industry from the inside. We offer you an internship allowance, a laptop and a travel allowance where appropriate. You participate in current assignments. These activities range from writing reports to helping organise meetings, and from preparing and conducting interviews to doing desk research and making presentations. All this is done under the professional supervision of a Berenschot advisor with an eye for your personal and professional development.

Do you want to get even more out of your internship? As an intern you will have the chance to participate in the Intern-plus programme. On top of your internship, this programme offers you the opportunity to receive training in consulting skills from some of our most experienced advisors.
